Waarom een L-plaat
Met een gewone plaat kantel je de kop opzij om staand te fotograferen. De camera hangt dan naast de statiefas en het geheel wordt topzwaar en instabiel. Met een L-plaat zet je de camera een kwartslag over op dezelfde kop, zodat hij boven de as blijft.
Montage
Je draait de meegeleverde schroef door de plaat in de statiefaansluiting onder je camera. De plaat volgt de vorm van deze bodies, dus de aansluitingen aan de zijkant en het accuklepje blijven bereikbaar.
Compatibiliteit
De plaat is gemaakt voor de Sony A7III, A7RIII en A7SIII. Op een andere body past hij wel op de schroefdraad, maar niet meer om de behuizing heen, en dan verlies je precies het voordeel van de L-vorm.

Warum eine L-Platte
Mit einer gewöhnlichen Platte kippst du den Kopf zur Seite, um hochkant zu fotografieren. Die Kamera hängt dann neben der Stativachse und das Ganze wird kopflastig und wackelig. Mit einer L-Platte setzt du die Kamera um eine Vierteldrehung auf denselben Kopf, sodass sie über der Achse bleibt.
Montage
Du drehst die mitgelieferte Schraube durch die Platte in das Stativgewinde unter deiner Kamera. Die Platte folgt der Form dieser Gehäuse, die seitlichen Anschlüsse und die Akkuklappe bleiben also erreichbar.
Kompatibilität
Die Platte ist für die Sony A7III, A7RIII und A7SIII gemacht. An einem anderen Gehäuse passt sie zwar auf das Gewinde, aber nicht mehr um die Behausung herum, und dann verlierst du genau den Vorteil der L-Form.

Why an L-plate
With an ordinary plate you tip the head sideways to shoot portrait. The camera then hangs beside the tripod axis and the whole thing turns top-heavy and unsteady. An L-plate moves the camera a quarter turn onto the same head, so it stays above the axis.
Mounting
You turn the supplied screw through the plate into the tripod socket under your camera. The plate follows the shape of these bodies, so the side ports and the battery door stay reachable.
Compatibility
The plate is made for the Sony A7III, A7RIII and A7SIII. On another body it still meets the thread but no longer wraps the housing, and that loses exactly what the L-shape is for.
