Draagbare aluminium koffer
De monitor zit in een koffer van vliegtuigaluminium die is ontworpen voor veldproductie en tegen ruwe buitenomstandigheden en veelvuldige locatiewissels kan. In- en uitpakken gaat zonder gereedschap, waardoor het scherm snel klaar is voor gebruik. De handgreep ligt comfortabel en de koffer sluit met vlindervormige klemmen.

Beeldkwaliteit
Het 23,8-inch IPS-paneel toont 1920 x 1080 pixels met 16,7 miljoen kleuren (8-bit), een helderheid van 250 cd/m² en een contrastverhouding van 1000:1. Door de kijkhoek van 178° blijft het beeld ook vanaf de zijkant consistent, handig wanneer meerdere mensen meekijken. De monitor dekt 72% van de NTSC-kleurruimte en is in de fabriek gekalibreerd volgens de Rec.709-standaard. Het afneembare zonnescherm houdt het beeld leesbaar in heldere omgevingen.

Connectiviteit
Ingangen zijn er voor 3G-SDI (BNC), HDMI, YPbPr (3 x BNC), DVI-I, composiet video (BNC) en analoge audio (2 x RCA). Voor het doorlussen naar een tweede scherm of recorder zijn uitgangen voor 3G-SDI, HDMI, YPbPr en video aanwezig. Via SDI worden formaten tot 1080p60 ondersteund; via HDMI komt daar 4K UHD bij, tot 3840 x 2160p (30 Hz) en 4096 x 2160p (24 Hz).

Beeldhulpmiddelen en bediening
Voor het beoordelen van het beeld zijn peaking focus assist in rood monochroom, check field in rood, groen, blauw en mono, een middenmarkering en safe markers van 80%, 85%, 90%, 93%, 96% en 2,35:1 beschikbaar. Verder kan het beeld horizontaal, verticaal of in beide richtingen gespiegeld worden en zijn freeze, zoom, cameramodus en pixel-to-pixel aanwezig. De bediening loopt via knoppen en draaiknoppen waarmee snel van bron gewisseld wordt; F1 tot F4 zijn vrij instelbaar als snelkoppeling. Het OSD-menu is beschikbaar in tien talen.

Voeding en tally
De monitor werkt op DC 9 tot 24 V met een verbruik van maximaal 24 W en draait op de meegeleverde adapter of op een lithium-accu. Standaard zit er een V-Mount batterijplaat op; een Anton Bauer-plaat is optioneel. Het tallylampje in drie kleuren (rood, groen, geel) werkt met een standaard parallelle pinconnector. Een ingebouwde luidspreker en een stereo hoofdtelefoonaansluiting maken audiocontrole ter plekke mogelijk.

Tragbarer Aluminiumkoffer

Das Ein- und Auspacken funktioniert ohne Werkzeug, sodass der Monitor schnell einsatzbereit ist. Der Griff liegt bequem in der Hand und der Koffer schließt mit schmetterlingsförmigen Verschlüssen.

Durch den Betrachtungswinkel von 178° bleibt das Bild auch von der Seite konsistent, praktisch wenn mehrere Personen mitschauen. Portable aluminium case
The monitor sits in an aviation aluminium case designed for field production, able to handle harsh outdoor environments and frequent scene changes. Packing up and setting up works without tools, so the monitor is ready for use quickly. The handle is comfortable to carry and the case closes with butterfly-shaped locks.

Image quality
The 23.8-inch IPS panel shows 1920 x 1080 pixels with 16.7 million colours (8-bit), a brightness of 250 cd/m² and a contrast ratio of 1000:1. Thanks to the 178° viewing angle the image stays consistent from the side as well, which helps when several people are watching along. The monitor covers 72% of the NTSC colour space and is factory calibrated to the Rec.709 standard. The removable sun-hood keeps the image readable in bright surroundings.

Image tools and operation
For judging the image there is peaking focus assist in red monochrome, check field in red, green, blue and mono, a centre marker and safe markers at 80%, 85%, 90%, 93%, 96% and 2.35:1. The image can be flipped horizontally, vertically or both ways, and freeze, zoom, camera mode and pixel-to-pixel are available as well. Operation runs via buttons and knobs for quick source switching, with F1 to F4 freely assignable. The OSD menu is available in ten languages.

Power and tally
The monitor runs on DC 9 to 24 V with a power consumption of no more than 24 W and works on the supplied adapter or on a lithium battery. A V-Mount battery plate is fitted as standard; an Anton Bauer plate is available as an option. The three-colour tally light (red, green, yellow) works with a standard parallel pin connector. A built-in speaker and a stereo headphone output allow audio monitoring on the spot.
