Gebruik
Je draait de schroef door de plaat of de beugel heen in de statiefaansluiting onder je camera. Draai aan tot het vastzit en niet verder, want een te vaste schroef beschadigt de draad in de camerabodem.
D-ring
De ring klapt uit zodra je hem nodig hebt en ligt daarna weer plat tegen de kop. Zo houdt hij geen ruimte in beslag als je de camera in de tas legt, en hoef je geen muntje te zoeken om de plaat los te krijgen.
Waarom een reserve
Zo’n schroefje raakt zoek zodra je een plaat van de ene camera naar de andere overzet, of het blijft achter in de vorige beugel. Zonder schroef is de plaat onbruikbaar, terwijl het onderdeel zelf een paar gram weegt.

Anwendung
Du drehst die Schraube durch die Platte oder die Schiene in das Stativgewinde unter deiner Kamera. Ziehe an, bis es sitzt, und nicht weiter, denn eine zu fest angezogene Schraube beschädigt das Gewinde im Kameraboden.
D-Ring
Der Ring klappt aus, sobald du ihn brauchst, und liegt danach wieder flach am Kopf an. So nimmt er keinen Platz weg, wenn du die Kamera in die Tasche legst, und du musst keine Münze suchen, um die Platte zu lösen.
Warum ein Ersatz

Use
You turn the screw through the plate or the bracket into the tripod socket under your camera. Tighten until it seats and no further, because an over-tightened screw damages the thread in the camera base.
D-ring
The ring folds out when you need it and lies flat against the head again afterwards. It takes up no room when the camera goes into the bag, and you never have to hunt for a coin to free the plate.
Why a spare
A screw like this goes missing the moment you move a plate from one camera to another, or it stays behind in the previous bracket. Without it the plate is useless, while the part itself weighs a few grams.
