Vanwege de unieke constructie is de Flash Bounce Canon 430EX en 430EX II te gebruiken bij brandpuntsafstanden vanaf 15mm. Als u de kop van de flitser ongeveer 30 graden omhoog zet wordt het licht van de flitser aan alle kanten om het onderwerp heen verspreid, hierdoor worden harde slagschaduwen voorkomen. Ook wordt hierdoor het directe flitslicht mooi verzacht, waardoor details in lichte partijen behouden blijven en huidtinten realistisch worden weergegeven, iets dat bij flitsen zonder flash bounce problematisch is. De Flash Bounce Canon 430EX en 430EX II is ook ideaal voor het maken van macro-opnamen. Zo gemakkelijk als de flash bounce is aan te brengen, zo gemakkelijk is hij ook weer af te nemen.

Due to its unique construction, the Flash Bounce Canon 430EX and 430EX II can be used at focal lengths from 15mm. Raising the head of the flash unit approximately 30 degrees spreads the flash light around the subject on all sides, preventing harsh drop shadows. It also softens the direct flash light nicely, preserving details in light areas and rendering skin tones realistically, something that is challenging when flashing without a flash bounce. The Flash Bounce Canon 430EX and 430EX II is also ideal for taking macro shots. As easy as the flash bounce is to apply, it is also easy to remove.
