Met het Cokin Filter P342 Double Mask 1 kunt u het beeld in twee delen belichten zodat u twee opnames in één foto kunt combineren. Het effect wordt bereik door twee opnames te maken met telkens één filter uit de Double Mask set. Eén filter omvat het midden van het beeld, het andere filter het omringende gebied. Deze dubbele belichting kan worden uitgevoerd door de opname te maken en de film niet verder te transporten of door de gehele filmrol te belichten en dan weer terug te spoelen naar zijn uitgangspositie en vervolgens de opname te maken met het tweede filter. De belichting kunt u het beste meten zonder het filter op de camera bevestigd. Het Cokin P342 Double Mask 1 filter wordt aangeraden voor gebruik met groothoek objectieven met een brandpuntsafstand van 21 tot 35mm.
Het systeem is verkrijgbaar in twee maten: #342 en #345, die een grotere centrumvlek heeft.

With the Cokin Filter P342 Double Mask 1 you can expose the image in two parts so that you can combine two shots into one photo. The effect is achieved by taking two shots each with one filter from the Double Mask set. One filter covers the centre of the image, the other the surrounding area. This double exposure can be done by taking the shot and not transporting the film any further or by exposing the entire roll of film and then rewinding to its starting position and taking the shot with the second filter. It is best to measure the exposure without the filter attached to the camera. The Cokin P342 Double Mask 1 filter is recommended for use with wide-angle lenses with a focal length of 21 to 35mm.
